News briefs and original work
News briefs summarize outside reporting in our own words and link to the original publisher. We name the publication and show the original publication date. A brief is not independent verification of every claim in the linked report, and older coverage may not describe the current situation.
Original articles identify their author. We may use AI tools to help organize information and draft summaries. That assistance is not a substitute for original reporting, and the byline of a source article credits its original reporter—not the writer of an NMCC summary.
Respect for creators
We link to original reporting so readers can read and support the publisher’s work. Full articles, photographs, and other creative work require permission, an applicable license, or another valid basis for use. Attribution alone does not grant permission. Licensed images carry credits where required.
Business relationships
NMCC’s founder is a co-owner of Budding Bar & Dispensary. We disclose that relationship when covering or listing the business. Other relevant affiliations should be disclosed alongside the content so readers can judge it with context.
Paid placements
Paid articles and placements must be clearly labeled as sponsored and identify the sponsor. Payment does not buy favorable news coverage or a promise of business results. An ordinary directory listing or community submission is not an endorsement.
Corrections and updates
If something is inaccurate, send us the page link, the detail you believe is wrong, and a supporting source. Material corrections to articles should include a dated correction note. We can update listings or remove information that is outdated or cannot be supported.
Events and job openings
Submissions stay private until an administrator reviews them. We check the organizer or employer and its official link before approval. Public details come from the submitter; contact details and internal review notes remain private.
Standard event listings are free for both free-admission and ticketed events. Events leave the upcoming list when they end or are cancelled. Standard job postings are $29 for one role at one location, for up to 30 days beginning at publication. An approved business claim is required; a free claim qualifies. Jobs leave current openings after 30 days, at their earlier application closing date, or when marked filled or closed. Editing a posting does not restart its period. Renewal requires a new submission and review; there is no automatic renewal. Organizers and employers should tell us when details change. Readers should confirm directly before attending or applying.
Paid checkout is not open. Submitting for review does not charge you, and rejected submissions are not charged. During prelaunch, an administrator may explicitly authorize a complimentary job posting. Event spotlight ($29 for up to 14 days) and Job spotlight ($49 total for up to 30 days) are coming soon. Paid spotlight placements will be labeled Sponsored. These prices cover website placement; social posts, newsletter placements and content creation are separate. Final payment, tax and refund terms will be shown before paid checkout opens.
A community information service
NMCC is for adults 21 and older. We do not sell cannabis, take product orders, collect job applications, or provide medical or legal advice. We may decline submissions that are misleading, irrelevant, discriminatory, or primarily cannabis product sales offers.
